The woman I delt with was a bully. She would make me feel bad anytime I would want to take money out. There was not one time I left her office not crying. It's MY money, I can take it out whenever I want!!! Plus she would lie to me about my investment options in order for me to keep giving them money. Out right lie!

My mother also invested all her retirement savings into this company. When she did retire and tried to set up monthly instalments so she could get her savings, she was given the run around. She signed paperwork in February and it's October and still nothing. She called the main office and they said she was still missing paperwork which the women she was dealing with knew about the whole time!!!! No doubt they were holding onto her money for their own personal gain. DO NOT INVEST YOUR MONEY WITH THIS COMPANY.

They say they are here to help families but it's all about money and bullying people into giving them your hard earned money. Disgusting!!!

Reason of review: Problems with payment.

Location: Calgary, Alberta

Here in Canada they call themselves World System Builder...so as you can see just the name tells you it's more about recruiting agents then actually selling financial products...all about feeding the pyramid!

Peter, agree. WFG is absolutely about recruiting. And selling lousy insurance policies to recruits and other victims.

My nana had policies with that company and he died just on July 2016. My family get the benefit within 2 weeks.

It's not about the company, you must have deal with a wrong agent.

That is happening in every other company. Don't judge any an whole family if any person of that family is a bad person but really sorry for your experience.

I'm very sorry to hear about your Nana. How old was he when he died and what policies did he have?

Diamond Bar Anon, WFG is still an absolutely terrible company that customers and agent-recruits should AVOID at all costs. The sad account you give us here in no way changes that fact.

With all due respect Anon, we don't know who you are, who your nana was, what policies he bought, how long ago he bought them, nor how old he was when he died. IOW, Anon you tell us virtually NOTHING to refute the fact that WFG is a horrible company and than many of its agents act fraudulently. Mainstream carriers like Transamerica will pay out on even their worst and most abusive policies, which includes the FFIUL, when policyholder death is not ruled a suicide within a set time (e.g. 2 years).

Even for the worst policies, the policyholder's heirs can "come out ahead" financially if the policyholder bought the policy relatively recently and died relatively young. E.g. if your nana bought a $500k FFIUL two years ago, he may have paid only $10k into it and his heirs still get the $500k death benefit minus any loan amount against the policy. OTOH, If your nana bought a simple Term Life policy at the same time, he could have paid as little as $1k in premiums for the same $500k benefit, only one-tenth as much as for the FFIUL.

Btw Anon, it's interesting that one of the agents highest up on the WFG pyramid, Ed Mylett, grew up in Diamond Bar, the little SGV city you apparently posted from, and he may still live there.

I'm simply noting that.

Again, we are sorry for the loss of your nana.

I am from calgary too. Can you tell me who your agent is?

I might know her because I have lots of friends who were gullibled with WFG's business propaganda. I don't think they have the conscience and being bothered how you feel. I am so sorry about your experience. But pray for her.

I still believe in what they say.

What goes around comes around.

SORRY ABOUT YOUR EXPERIENCE. I WAS PLANNING TO JOIN THEM A ONE TIME.

AFTER THEY PRESSURE ME TO GIVE THEM THE LIST OF MY FRIENDS, I KNOW THIS IS NOT THE COMPANY I WANT TO WORK WITH.

I NEED A COMPANY EARN MY TRUST WITH MY OWN PERSONAL MONEY BEFORE ASKING ME FOR MY FRIENDS' CONTACT INFO. PLUS I NEED TO INVESTIGATE THE BACKGROUND OF THE COMPANY BEFORE I INTRODUCE WFG TO MY FRIENDS THAT WAY I CAN LOOK AT MY FRIENDS' EYES, TELLING THEM THEY ARE GOOD OPTION TO INVEST IN.
