Hello site visitors. I can guess you probably came here for many different reasons. Most come here to look up reviews on WFG and whether they should join it or not, or if they or a family member have been hoodwinked and would like information on what to do as well as read each individual person's takes on this company. Perhaps you might even report a complaint of your own here on this site. But since you're reading this, you probably want a review on this company.

My summarized personal take is that you should avoid this company as much as possible as it operates like an MLM, or if anything is one, and you are more than likely going to lose money than gain. Also, with its xUL (universal life) policies such as the FFIUL, it is most likely incredibly harmful for you to buy one as there are costs and fees agents most likely won't tell you unless you ask them yourself or they just plain are unable to answer without using an illustration model that does NOT account for those said costs and fees. Often times agents just plain don't know what their truly selling. Please ask them for their credentials other than being financial adviser or insurance broker such as college degrees or years experience in the field. Trust me, I'm a 20 year old former WFG agent and I'm a certified life & health insurance agent simply because I passed a test I studied for 2 weeks. I strongly advise you to question them thoroughly and before you buy anything, please consult a reputable fiduciary or a fee-only agent. This is still my own personal take so think what you will.

However, only you can judge for yourself if WFG is something to avoid or whether you want to take the risk and join (although I heavily advise against this). I am simply here to help you make your judgement and give you some tools to help yourself. I know rummaging through all these sites can be very confusing, so I decided to consolidate these sources together so you can take less time searching and more time getting yourself informed.

Finally, I also suggest you read the comments on said links as well as on other reviews you read. Please read those comments objectively and analyze if it's just a blank statement or an argument with actual points. Those comments are provided by either WFG agents or those actively fighting against WFG due to its practices. Do not cherry pick or do confirmation bias. The moment you do, you become blind to the truth. An example of a blank statement is: It's not complicated, I made $10k a month. Ask yourself, is this a statement with basis? Do they prove their argument? Is this enough detail to go on? An example of an argument with at least some basis: Many WFG agents actually make less than stated and can be proven by [insert link] and many lawsuits are starting to take action against them, some of them being [insert link]. In this argument, it at least attempts to support their arguments by supplying possibly credible sources. Or better yet, consider the comments in the same way you read a paper. Would you trust a celebrity tabloid on reporting science studies that provide little to no real facts/details, or an extremely detailed science study published by a reputable university?

Thank you for taking your time to thoroughly read this and I hope this helps and guides you to making the right choice for you and those you love. And those who want to comment on this review, if you're going to make some argument for your respective stance, please provide a proper detailed argument. Do a service to your fellow readers. I certainly do not want to read statements such as "it worked for me I made like 10k a month" Like how did you make it, what did you sell, how is that product good for the client, how do you benefit from it, do you have sources that support this? The same can also be said about the opposition, I do not want to read lines like "WFG is bad and you guys are fools!!!"; how is WFG bad, why are the products bad, do you have sources to support this claim? However, this is mainly directed to WFGers as many have serious issues on not sufficiently proving your point judging from these sites. If you want us to respect and consider your perspective, PLEASE give us detailed reasons on everything you can. To those who simply want to ask for help and/or state your experiences, you are more then welcome to chime in. Again, thank you for reading.

World Financial Group Cons: Cult-like environment, Harmful products, Unable to answer technical questions, Agents often have little to no credentials, Preys on poor and minorities.

Although not a necessary addition to my review, I would like to encourage those who have been negatively affected by WFG to file a Federal Trade Commission (FTC) complaint. The link is listed in my review under "***Below are the Federal Trade Commission links***".

I believe not enough people realize that they have the power to complain directly to the government or feel that their stories are meaningless. It is not, and I have felt the same way. If you are not sure on filing an FTC claim, perhaps I can give you some positives. When you file a complaint, you have the choice of privacy.

This means you can choose what information they receive on your complaint. You can file anonymously, or provide contact info in which the FTC states they may use in order to contact you about your complaint. You can also state specific locations of company branches. If you believe you can't take on a whole company, you can still file against the company branch that affected you by properly listing the location and contact information.

Like on these review sites, you can tell them your story and experience with WFG. Not only that, you are submitting complaints DIRECTLY to the FTC. The more complaints the FTC receives, the more likely they are to take action. BUT please do remember to not troll and abuse the service the FTC provides.

Please provide legitimate information and accounts when you file complaints to the FTC. You may feel that your voice is not heard, but you can make it heard.
